Who We Are...
Tattered Suitcase Transformations was founded by me, Gayle Copenbarger. I work along alongside a network of professional associates, who are selected for their proven expertise. We are lean, without a large staff and this allows us to only bring in other professional associates, as needed. No dead weight here!
Tattered Suitcase is an intentionally small company. This allows us to be flexible in meeting the needs of our customers. We are able to change direction quickly to help provide support to the businesses in our care, without wasting time and energy just trying to make a turn. Think of a speed boat and a lumbering oil tanker---you know what I mean.
Our name, Tattered Suitcase, was selected because it captures the essence in what we believe. We see a strong connection to the Japanese art of Wabi-sabi.
Wabi-sabi is the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection and profundity in nature, of accepting the natural cycle of growth…It's simple, uncluttered---and it reveres authenticity above all.

Tattered Suitcase, like Wabi-sabi values authenticity and simplicity. We are well traveled and like a Tattered Suitcase we have gathered a few bumps and bruises along the way. We have gained knowledge from our experiences and that is what we have come to share with you.
Changing the world is so important to us that we donate 10% of our profits to improve our planet. We believe in walking our talk.
